Autumn Kitchen Must-Haves
Here in New England the temps are dropping, and I've got the urge to get in the kitchen. I love to cook all year, but something about this magical, in-between time with its stunning late season produce and oven-appropriate temps always has me wanting to whip something up.
Right now I'm eating the bounty of tomatoes from our garden and roasting up the overflow to freeze for the winter months. I've also baked up a few batches of homemade granola to enjoy with yogurt and the last of the summer berries. No matter what aromas are floating through your kitchen, this is a good time to get your cabinets' contents ready for those cooler days to come. Check out below some of my favorite picks that I use all the time in my own kitchen. The glass containers are ideal to house leftovers that are going from freezer, to fridge, to oven, while the metal bowls with lids make meal prep a breeze. If nothing else, I would consider adding a Dutch oven to your arsenal if you don't have one. It's the perfect thing for slow braises and cozy pots of soup. I've also included a few new-to-me cookbooks I've purchased recently.
Tell me in the comments below what you've been making! Happy cooking!
