An Autumn Color Story
I cannot tell you how many clients come to me with beige homes wanting to incorporate color, but they're scared to commit to something bold. My best advice: pull your color scheme from nature. Autumn in New England is one of my favorite times of year and, in fact, it's the season I used as inspiration when selecting pieces for The Judkins House.
To celebrate the season, I've pulled a few fall-inspired favorites to bring a splash of color to your space. If you need help finding the right color scheme for your room, check out my service offering!
Every room needs something to ground the design and nothing does that quite like a rug. This orange and blue option is a stunner and the busy pattern will help hide dirt and stains--always a plus! Anyone who knows me knows I love velvet. To that end I've included not only a rich-toned velvet accent chair, but also a sage green throw pillow and a fun geometric mustard colored pillow. Velvet feels wonderful and creates an added layer of texture in your room. Keeping with the textural theme is a linen throw--a classic you'll love for years--and a woven basket perfect for hiding away toys or stowing extra blankets. A terracotta lamp is an unexpected addition in a bedroom or entryway and this option has that handmade feel at a fraction of the cost! If you're looking for more of an accent piece, I love this deep red vase that would be stunning with some late season blooms. To round out my picks, I've included a copper nesting bowl set. I am obsessed with the patina and organic edging. I can imagine these bowls being a favorite well into the winter holidays.
